Bell Gardens is located in the state of California and is a city in Los Angeles County. It also forms part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area and is also a part of the Gateway Cities Region, which is a highly urbanized area that is situated in the southeastern part of Los Angeles County. Bell Garden has been famous as it is the only one out of the six Los Angeles County cities that have permitted casino gambling and for being the home to one of the oldest buildings in the whole Los Angeles County. The city was named after the American businessman, James George Bell. The word “Gardens” was derived from many of the Japanese who established a number of vegetable gardens and rice fields in the early years of Bell Gardens’ existence.
