Located in the state of California and a city in Los Angeles County, Carson is situated south of downtown Los Angeles and is estimated to be 14 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport. The city is considered to be the newest municipality in the metropolitan Los Angeles’ South Bay region. Bordered to the west by West Rancho Dominguez on the northern point, by Compton in the northeast, and on the east by Rancho Dominguez and Long Beach. The city has a large tract that is composed of undeveloped land areas, an unusual sight for a city which is approximately close to metropolitan Los Angeles, thus, various plans were developed for the use of the land were proposed. One of the development plans proposed is of the land in the Del Amo Boulevard which attracted particular attention to is the potential site of the National Football League stadium.
