Located in the state of California and a city in Santa Clara County, Mountain View sits on San Francisco Bay’s southwest shore. The city used to be a stagecoach station when it was settled in 1852, and it eventually became a shipping pint for fruits and grain products, and also became a religious book publishing in the early part of the 1900s. Mountain View was home to several military and government agencies such as the Moffett Field Naval Air Station, the NASA Ames Research Center, among others. The establishment of these facilities gave rise to the city’s economy and has influenced the development of the aerospace and electronics industries, which was then merged with the rest of Silicon Valley.
