A city that is part of New Haven County and is located the New Haven Harbor, which is at the northern shore of Long Island Sound in the state of Connecticut, and also forms part of the New York metropolitan area. Yale University is located in New Haven and even the city's biggest taxpayer and employer. With the Ivy League school's popularity, it attracted numerous artists, celebrities, politicians, and innovators ever since the 1700s. New Haven has also become famous because of its high-end restaurants. The city's cost of living is relatively higher compared to the national average. However, housing rates are lower compared to the national expenditure, wherein its cost of living remains to be more affordable in comparison to New York City and Boston.
