A city in Florida located west-northwest of Miami is principally in the Miami Metropolitan area. Hialeah has a significant number of commercial centers. The city has served as a host to retailers such as Starbucks, Best Buy, Target, etc.; however, it is home to a vibrant community where the mom-and-pop stores are popular and have been able to compete with well-known brands, retailers, outfitters, and franchises that are in the city. Most of these local businesses have to alter their business strategies just to ensure that they are able to meet the changing preferences of the community and be able to compete with the national brands. Hialeah is less diverse compared to other cities in the state and in the United States, which has a high concentration of white residents. The city has the most significant number and concentration of Hispanics and Latinos, which makes the city less ethnically homogenous.
