Located at about 14 miles of Fort Lauderdale going southwest and at about 20 miles from north of Miami and has become part of the Miami Metropolitan area. Miramar is a city located in Broward County and whose nearby cities include Hollywood, Plantation, Pembroke Pines, and Sunrise. The town was initially founded to become the” bedroom community for Fort Lauderdale and Miami’s workforce. It was developed and has started with only 56 houses with concrete and flat roofs in 1953 and were sold at a low cost. Thus, they were sold quickly, and the city of Miramar was brought to life. Currently, in the effort of the town to attract tourists and visitors, a Town Center is under construction, which is expected to house a new City Hall with the retail and residential components will be in a park-like setting that includes waterfront scenery.
