Palm Beach is located in the southeastern part of the state of Florida and a city in Palm Beach and is in the narrow barrier that is in between the Atlantic Ocean on the east and Lake Worth on the west. Lake Worth is a lagoon that is part of the Intracoastal Waterway that is used to bridge going to West Palm Beach. In 1880, the early settlers gathered around the nuts that were washed ashore by a shipwrecked cargo of coconuts and planted them that will create a palm-shaded haven, which was then named Pal City in 1880. The site was later renamed to Palm Beach in 1887 and was then developed to become a resort after it was extended by the Florida East Coast Railway to West Palm Beach in 1894.
