Located in the state of Florida and a city in the central-western Broward County, Sunrise is a part and the principal city of the Miami metropolitan area. The city was incorporated in 1961 by a developer who has built the Upside-Down House to attract buyers to settle in Sunrise which was then a remote area of the region. In October 1984, Sunrise has reached an estimated population of about 50,000 which has then given way to the city’s growth and at the same time when it has been facing limited economic opportunities, financial difficulties, and the city’s lack of adequate civic amenities. And because of such, the city worked to put its financial house in order by rebuilding itself a center for business headquarters.
