Located in the state of Florida and a master-planned suburban community in Broward County, Weston was established as a city when much of its community was developed and was then located near the developmental boundary of Broward County. The city was ranked 19th in America in the “Biggest Earners” of 2010 by the Money magazine. It was then ranked as a city with the largest job growth in the state and ranked 18th in the United States in 2006. The city has then ranked consistently annually in CNN Money magazine’s “Biggest Earners’ category. Weston has been nicknamed “Westonzuela” because of its large Venezuelan population and has then significantly grown since the early 1990s.
