Atlanta lies in the northwestern part of Georgia and lies in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Unlike its counterpart cities, they have chosen not to retain the Old South historical characteristics of the city and have viewed its progress as a leading city and branded themselves to be the “New South” and has chosen the modern structures. The city has become the commercial and transportation hub in the southeast of the country, wherein its international airport is considered to be one of the busiest in the world. Atlanta’s economy has been boosted and led by the communication, finance, insurance, retail trade, manufacturing industries, among others, and has been home to one of the world’s major corporations, including Coca Cola.
