Located in the state of Illinois and a village in Cook County, Palatine is Chicago’s suburbs and lies northwest of the city. The first community was established when a Chicago and North Western Railways siding and depot was built in 1855, and the community was eventually named Palatine after. The original hometown of one of the early settlers was New York. The village’s manufactures include electrical products, outdoor grills, adhesives, and safety equipment.
