Located in the state of Indiana and is in the north of Indianapolis, Carmel spans across the Clay Township in Hamilton County, Indiana. The city is bordered to the east by the White River, by the Michigan Road and of the county line to the west. Even if Carmel was home to one of the first automated traffic signals that are electronically run in the street, they still opted to construct around 128 roundabouts since 1998 which earned its moniker as the “Roundabout Capital of the United States.” Carmel has a highly educated and affluent population. Carmel has been often cited to be one of the Best Places to Live In America by Money magazine. It has also been honored and recognized as one of the safest in the United States and one of the places to launch a career and raise a family.
