St. Louis, Missouri, is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River. St. Louis has always been popular for its beer, baseball, and most famous St. Louis Arch. The manufacturing industry has always been a significant part of the city’s economy, along with its highly developed industries for automobiles, aircraft, space technology, etc. During the late 19thcentury, the city’s population began to blossom and has increased rapidly. However, at the time of the Great Depression in the 1930s, the growth of the population has stagnated. It boomed again during World War II. For most tourists and visitors, the most popular attraction in the city is the famous St. Louis Gateway Arch, wherein once can see almost 30 miles in every direction during a clear day from the top.
