Syracuse, the county seat of Onondaga County in New York, is considered to be the fifth-most populous city in the state. It is quite amazing to know that many, if not most, of the people who grew up in Syracuse, will stay and tend to raise their family and children in the city. The city offers a comfortable place to live in and that the area in the metro is continuing to enjoy its massive improvements, including a cleanup of Onondaga Lake. One of the many reasons that residents tend to stay and that extended families are living near each other because of the low housing costs. Relatives tend to stay close without having to live in the same home because the majority of the residents can afford to live on their own. The home price may be much lower compared to those in other metro areas in the United States. However, residents tend to spend more on utilities and other necessities.
