Dublin is located in the state of Ohio and a city in Franklin, Delaware, and Union counties. It is also a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Annually, in late May or early June, Dublin hosts the Memorial Tournament, a stop on gold’s PGA Tour. There are a number of golf courses in the city. The city’s earliest settlers started in 1802, the village did not come to be Dublin yet and had not begun to take shape up until the arrival of the Sells family that originated from Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. The Sells brothers, Peter and Benjamin, bought a piece of land, 400 acres, that is located on the western part of the Scioto Riverbanks as a gift to their other brother John. By 1808, John Sells then brought the rest of his family to the area and they began to survey lots for the establishment of new villages with his partner John Shields, who is an Irish German.
