Grove City is located in the state of Ohio and a city in Franklin County. The city is a suburb of the city of Columbus. The area where the present-day Grove city stands was founded in 1852 and was then settled by the Euopeans in the part of the 1800s. The area was closely tied to both Jackson Township as well as Franklin County, and the Grove City was then carved in the area that is in and around both the Township and the County. Grove city grew its residents to 50 by 1853 courtesy of the partnership that was created by William F. Beck, William Sibray, George Weygandt, and Jeremiah Smith. Broadway then became the central area of the settlement and the population nearly tripled by 1870.
