Goose Creek is located in the state of California and a city in Berkeley County. The United States Naval Weapons Station is headquartered in Goose Creek. The city is part of the Charleston-North Charleston-Summerville metropolitan area. The history of Goose Creek dates all the way back to many centuries before it was founded in 1961. The Etiwan moved to the present-day area of Goose Creek to escape the Westo, who was then seeking the protection among the colonists’ plantations who were then referred to as the “Goose Creek ment.” Most of them have settled along a stream that was called Goose Creek that is located a few miles north of Charleston, which is a tribute to the Cooper River. The Goose Creek men then became the leaders of the early Indian trade and have then held many important offices in the colonial government by the 1690s.
