Located in the southeastern side of Texas, Beaumont has been known for its Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum, wherein it recreated the town during the 1900s during the birth of the Texas oil boom. The city makes up most of the southeast Texas Golden Triangle along with Port Arthur and Orange. Today, Beaumont's most treasured source of wealth is trapped in both and outside the city limits. The city's downtown district offers cultural and entertainment venues that feature live music, a theater, and a museum. When you exit the city, Interstate 10 is your ticket to all-access diverse opportunities, and all are within a two-hour drive from Beaumont. If you are going for a trip going to the west will take you to Houston, drive east, and it will take you to Lake Charles, Louisiana. For those who enjoy going outdoors for fun and recreation, a one-hour drive going south will then lead you to world-class deep-sea fishing and boating all within the Gulf of Mexico.
