Friendswood is located in the state of Texas and a city that forms part of the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area. It sits along the counties of Galveston and Harris. CNN Money magazine has one listed Friendswood as “America's Best Places to Live” in 2007, wherein it makes the city as one of the 900 small towns that were being recognized since the ranking started in 2005. The city was founded by the Quakes or the members of the Religious Society of Friends. According to the census that was conducted in 2000, the city’s population has been growing to 1,381.20 people for every square mile, and that there is a total of 10,405 housing units.
