Grand Prairie stretches up to 26 miles long and is centrally in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metroplex. The city’s proximity to the highway and air transportation plus its central location, the city has become a distribution center in the region. Most of the products in the area have quick access to the Metroplex, which makes the city attractive to new businesses and new warehouses, distribution, and manufacturing structures. Residents of the town are mostly 30 something and are dual-income homeowners. Families who took residence in Grand Prairie lived in the city for generations, welcome newcomers for the same reason that they did- its laidback hometown atmosphere and location.
