Located in the central part of Texas, Waco is situated by the Brazos River and is home to the Cameron Park Zoo, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, the Dr. Pepper Museum - which pays homage to the famous and locally invented soda, and the Waco Mammoth Museum. Waco's economy has been exclusively on growing and producing cotton, and when the railroad came out, it then stimulated economic growth. And at the start of World War II, two large installations of air-force were brought to the city. Though the city still depends partly on crops and livestock growing, the economy was then broadened by the manufacturing and service industries. There was also a boost in the city's tourism because of the enormous popularity that was brought by the show Fixer Upper (2013-2018), a home renovation show based in Waco.
